Exhausted

If this were a blog about Stryker I'd have a lot to write about. Late last year Stryker bought a division of Boston Scientific called Neurovascular and we were given until January 8th to plan, configure and execute email migrations for approximately 350 people. So my Christmas "vacation" consisted of conference calls and lots of computer time, culminating in a week of hell in the San Fransico area.

So this weekend is the first time I've gotten into the garage for a while, and I wanted to get the exhaust on the RX7 completed. I bought a couple of Flowtech Red Hot glasspack style mufflers from Jegs ($16.99 each, made in Mexico), and two 2.25" mandrel bent U-bends from Lane Automotive. I cut and rewelded the headers using angles from the U-bends so they come down and around to run parallel to the floor. The glasspacks slide over the those sections and on the back end two straight pieces with a 45 degree bend dump just in front of the back wheels through chrome tips.

I did the side dumps because I think they look and sound cool, use less pipe and you dont have to worry about getting pipe over the rear axle. The mufflers and rear pipes can be easily removed for the track or the Lane Automotive open header cruise. Take a look at the pics and let me know how I've done.
